Q + A
How far is the drive from the airport (PVR)?
The drive will take approximately 45-55 minutes from Sayulita. You will definitely need a driver or a Taxi. Expect to pay cash, in Pesos (anywhere from 50-100 USD).
What is the best way to communicate via cell phone in Sayulita?
Most cell phone carriers have complementary data and cellular service while in Mexico. However, the majority of vendors, businesses, and locals communicate via WhatsApp.
Can we pay in American dollars?
No. You will need Pesos. Most places take card besides street and beach vendors. That said, it is very important to tip in Mexico as well. I highly recommend doing a currency exchange at your local bank 5 business days before the trip to bring with you all the Pesos you might need. If you do not, airport exchange rates are brutal. In Sayulita, ATM limits are typically 3,000 Pesos (~150 USD) per day.
Where should I stay? And what days?
Downtown Sayulita has many of great options. Check out our "Travel Recs" page for some options we like!
Most guests including the Bridal party will arrive Thursday April 10th and depart Monday April 14th.
What will the weather be like?
In April, the days will be an average of 75-85 degrees and nights will be an average of mid-60s. April is one of the most desirable months to visit Sayulita. Humidity will be lower than the rest of the year, averaging around 60-70%.
What are the wedding colors?
The wedding colors are Eucalyptus, Natural Cream, with the accent color of Light Terracotta.
Do I need to do anything before the wedding?
Yes! Please visit the "Culinary" page and fill out the form to confirm your dinner Entree.
Please also visit back to the website before the wedding to confirm schedule as we are still working on some elements of the wedding.
Lastly, when you book your Stay, please inform Miranda and Micah.
Are there other cool villages and cities nearby?
Yes! Visit San Pancho for another local village that is highly recommended. All inclusives are all near Bahia Mita but there is not much of a town there. Puerto Vallarta is a lot of fun as well with shopping and their own beaches.
Is Sayulita safe?
The village of Sayulita is a very safe, family oriented community. It is very far from Drug Cartel activity and has 24/7 police and tourist patrols. Locals are a mix of Mexican people and Canadians, Americans and Australians who have second homes in the village. Crime reports are extremely rare.
